UPF Reset reads the ingredient panel of packaged food and describes how processed it is, using the NOVA classification. It keeps a record of what you log and shows the share of it that isn't ultra-processed.
UPF Reset is not medical, dietary or nutritional advice. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, and it does not tell you that any food is good or bad for you. NOVA is a research framework and experts disagree about individual products at its edges. Do not use UPF Reset to make decisions about a medical condition, an allergy, or an intolerance — always read the physical packet, and talk to a doctor or an accredited practising dietitian about your own health.
Product names and ingredient lists come from Open Food Facts, an open, community-maintained database, used under the Open Database License. Classifications and explanations are generated automatically from that information. Either may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong — manufacturers change recipes, and some products have no ingredient list on file. We make no promise that any classification is correct. Allergen information in particular must always be checked on the product itself.
You're responsible for keeping your password secure. You can delete your account, and all the data associated with it, at any time from Settings. See the Privacy Policy for what that removes.
Don't attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer or overload the service, access other people's data, or use it to scrape product data in bulk.
To the extent the law allows, UPF Reset is provided "as is", and we aren't liable for decisions made on the basis of its classifications. Nothing here excludes guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
We may update these terms. If a change is material, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States.
If you are a consumer in Australia, you keep the rights the Australian Consumer Law gives you, and nothing in these terms — including this clause — takes them away or stops you relying on them in an Australian court or tribunal.
