UPF Reset

Frequently asked questions

Does scanning a product mean I ate it?

No. Scanning shows a result. Only choosing “Log eaten” adds that product to your food diary and affects your score. You can edit or delete logged entries.

What does the score measure?

It is the non-UPF share of classified logged items. Items in NOVA groups 1–3 count toward that share; group 4 items do not. Unknown items are shown separately. The weekly score pools classified items across the week.

This is an item-count measure, not a calorie measure, a nutritional-quality score or the percentage of your entire diet.

What if the classification is uncertain or wrong?

Product data and classifications can be incomplete or incorrect. Read the ingredient evidence and uncertainty shown with the result, check the packaging and report a correction in the app. A processing classification does not establish allergy safety.

What is free?

Five barcode lookups per day, whole-food logging, history and challenges. Premium offers unlimited normal consumer barcode use, subject to technical abuse limits. Prices and any eligible trial are shown by your store before purchase.

How does the thirty-day challenge work?

The challenge spans thirty calendar days. Qualified days and consecutive streaks are separate measures. Editing or deleting an earlier entry can change challenge progress.

What are wellbeing check-ins for?

They are optional personal records. The app does not establish that food scores caused changes in how you feel.

How do I restore or cancel a subscription?

Use Restore purchases in Settings. Manage billing through your Apple or Google subscription settings. Deleting the app or account does not cancel billing. See support if access has not synchronized.

Can I use the scanner without camera access?

You can enter a barcode manually. If camera access was denied permanently, you can enable it in your device settings.
